1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Ilya Zolotarev, the operator of VoMini (“VoMini”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). They apply to the VoMini mobile application, its backend services, and related features (together, the “Service”).
By downloading, accessing, purchasing through, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. App-store terms may also apply; if those terms conflict with these Terms, the app-store terms control only to the extent required by the store.
2. What VoMini provides
VoMini is a language-learning app that helps you create and organise vocabulary collections, study with flashcards, use audio or images where available, and track learning progress. Features may vary by device, account, location, app version, or subscription tier.
VoMini is a study aid, not a school, examination provider, professional translator, or guarantee of a particular learning outcome.
3. Eligibility
You must have the legal capacity to accept these Terms. If you are below the age at which you can enter into this agreement or consent to data processing in your country, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you where permitted.
4. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep it current.
- Protect access to your email, device, and authentication provider.
- Do not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person.
- Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. We may take proportionate steps to protect an account or the Service if we detect fraud, abuse, or a security risk.
5. Limited licence
Subject to these Terms and any applicable app-store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable licence to install and use VoMini for lawful personal use on devices you own or control.
The Service, including its software, interface, designs, branding, and content supplied by us, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. No rights are granted except those expressly stated here.
6. Content you create
You retain ownership of the flashcards, notes, images, audio, and other content you create or upload (“User Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process, transmit, and display User Content only as needed to operate, secure, synchronise, back up, and improve the Service.
You confirm that:
- you have the necessary rights to your User Content;
- it does not infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- it is not unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or malicious;
- it does not contain code intended to damage or disrupt the Service.
We may remove or restrict access to content when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or enforce these Terms. You should keep an independent copy of content that is important to you.
7. Trials, subscriptions, and payments
Purchase and renewal
Paid features may be offered through Google Play. The price, billing interval, trial period (if any), and applicable taxes are shown before you confirm a purchase. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions automatically renew for the same billing period until cancelled through Google Play.
Trials
If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the displayed trial period unless you cancel before the deadline shown by Google Play. Eligibility for trials may be limited to new subscribers or as otherwise stated at purchase.
Managing or cancelling
Manage or cancel a subscription in your Google Play account. Uninstalling VoMini or deleting your VoMini account does not automatically cancel the subscription. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you may retain access until then, subject to Google Play rules.
Refunds and price changes
Google Play processes payments and refund requests under its policies and applicable consumer law. We may change future prices or plans, but any required advance notice and consent will be handled through the store. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable refund or cancellation rights you have under applicable law.
Subscription technology
We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage access to paid features. RevenueCat does not replace Google Play as the payment processor. See our Privacy Policy for information about purchase and subscription data.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service in violation of law or another person's rights;
- reverse engineer, decompile, bypass, or tamper with security or access controls except where the law expressly permits it;
- scrape, crawl, copy, resell, or commercially exploit the Service without written permission;
- use bots, scripts, or automated traffic that overloads or disrupts the Service;
- introduce malware, attempt unauthorised access, or test vulnerabilities without permission;
- misrepresent identity, payment status, entitlement, or campaign data;
- use VoMini to harass, exploit, or harm another person.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties such as Google Play, Google Firebase, Apple or Google sign-in, RevenueCat, AppsFlyer, Meta, and hosting providers. Their products may be governed by separate terms and policies. We are not responsible for a third-party service outside our reasonable control, but this does not affect any responsibility we cannot exclude under law.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how VoMini processes personal data, including analytics, advertising attribution, and subscription information. It forms part of the information you should review before using the Service.
11. Changes and availability of the Service
We may update, add, remove, or discontinue features to improve VoMini, maintain security, comply with platform requirements, or respond to technical and business needs. We will provide notice when required by law, particularly where a change materially affects an active paid service.
Maintenance, provider outages, network conditions, or events outside our reasonable control may temporarily interrupt the Service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.
12. Suspension, termination, and account deletion
You may stop using VoMini at any time and may delete your account through the app. Review the account deletion instructions before proceeding.
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for a serious or repeated violation of these Terms, security risk, fraud, legal requirement, or material harm to the Service or others. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination—including ownership, payment obligations already incurred, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—will survive.
13. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, VoMini is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that every translation, pronunciation, generated item, study recommendation, or user-created entry will be complete or error-free. Verify important language information independently.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded in your country.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or loss caused by third-party services, unauthorised account access resulting from your failure to protect credentials, or content you did not back up.
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or any mandatory consumer-protection obligation. Any limitation will be interpreted as narrowly as required to remain lawful.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms when the Service, law, or platform requirements change. We will publish the revised version here and update the effective date. If a material change requires notice or acceptance, we will provide it through the app or another appropriate channel.
