1. Who is responsible for your data

VoMini is operated by Ilya Zolotarev in Vilnius, Lithuania. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy, except where a third party acts as an independent controller under its own terms.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the VoMini Android application, our related backend services, and support communications. The website containing this policy is static and does not use analytics, advertising pixels, or non-essential cookies.

Third-party websites and services linked from VoMini have their own privacy practices. Their policies apply when you use those services.

3. Information we process

Account and authentication data

  • Your email address, internal user ID, authentication provider, and login/session information.
  • Limited profile information returned by Google or Apple when you choose a federated sign-in method, according to the permissions you grant.

Learning data and content you create

  • Languages, dictionaries, categories, flashcards, notes, learning preferences, training history, and progress.
  • Images, audio, or other files you choose to create or upload for app features.
  • Microphone, camera, or media-library access only when you use a feature that needs it and grant the relevant device permission.

Device, diagnostics, and usage data

  • Device model, operating system and app version, language, locale, time zone, country or approximate region, and technical identifiers.
  • App launches, session and feature interactions, notification interactions, errors, and performance or security logs.
  • Push notification token when notifications are enabled.

Subscription and purchase information

  • Product and entitlement identifiers, trial and subscription status, purchase, renewal, cancellation and expiration events, timestamps, price, currency, and store transaction identifiers.
  • Google Play handles payment-card details. VoMini and RevenueCat do not receive your full card number from Google Play.

Advertising measurement and attribution data

  • AppsFlyer ID, Android Advertising ID (when available and permitted), IP address, device and app information, install/referrer information, and campaign attribution data.
  • Selected app events, such as app activation, trial start, subscription, renewal, or other conversion events. Event names and parameters depend on our current integration settings.

Support communications

If you contact us, we process your email address, message, attachments, and any diagnostic information you choose to provide so we can respond.

4. Why we use data and our legal bases

Purpose Typical data Legal basis under GDPR
Provide accounts, syncing, study features, subscriptions, and support Account, content, learning and purchase data Performance of our contract with you
Secure, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve VoMini Device, diagnostic, usage, and security data Legitimate interests in operating a reliable and secure service
Measure installs and campaign performance and optimise advertising Attribution identifiers, campaign information, and selected conversion events Consent where required; otherwise our legitimate interests, subject to your rights and platform settings
Send optional notifications or access device media Push token, microphone, camera, or media access Your consent, which you can withdraw in device settings
Comply with law and protect legal rights Relevant account, transaction, and security records Legal obligation or legitimate interests

Where processing relies on legitimate interests, we consider its necessity, your reasonable expectations, and the effect on your rights. You may object as described below.

5. Service providers and recipients

We use service providers only as needed to operate and measure VoMini:

  • Google Firebase — authentication, database or storage, analytics, and cloud messaging. See Firebase privacy and security information.
  • Google Play — app distribution, billing, subscription management, and store services. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google and Apple sign-in — optional authentication methods, subject to the account permissions you select and those providers' policies.
  • Railway — hosting for backend services. See the Railway Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat — subscription status, entitlement management, purchase lifecycle, and related analytics. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
  • AppsFlyer — mobile attribution, campaign measurement, fraud prevention, and integration with selected advertising partners. See the AppsFlyer Services Privacy Policy.
  • Meta — receipt of attribution and selected app-event data when our Meta Ads integration is active. See the Meta Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a reorganisation or transfer of the app, subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal data for money.

6. Advertising measurement and event sharing

VoMini uses AppsFlyer to understand whether an install or selected action followed an advertising campaign. When the Meta Ads integration is active, AppsFlyer may send Meta attribution data and configured events such as app activation, trial start, initial subscription, trial conversion, or renewal.

Flashcard text, notes, uploaded images, voice recordings, passwords, and full payment-card information are not intended to be included in advertising postbacks.

RevenueCat may send subscription lifecycle and revenue events to AppsFlyer using a server-to-server integration. This helps avoid duplicate client-side purchase events and supports campaign reporting. You can limit advertising identifiers through Android or Google account settings where available. Measurement may still occur using permitted contextual or technical data.

7. How long we keep information

  • Account and learning data: while your account is active and until deletion is completed, unless a longer period is required for legal or security reasons.
  • User content: until you delete it, delete the account, or the content is no longer needed to provide the requested feature.
  • Purchase records: as needed to provide entitlements, resolve billing issues, prevent fraud, and meet accounting or legal obligations. Store transaction records may also be retained by Google Play independently.
  • Analytics, attribution, and logs: according to our configured retention periods and the policies of Firebase, AppsFlyer, Meta, RevenueCat, and other providers. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained longer.
  • Backups: deleted information may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are overwritten under the normal rotation schedule.

8. International data transfers

Some providers process information outside Lithuania or the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. Provider locations and safeguards can change; consult the linked provider policies for current details.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • access personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of your data;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive data you provided in a portable format where applicable;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing;
  • complain to the data protection authority in your country of residence or work.

To make a request, contact us using the address below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some rights are subject to lawful exceptions.

10. Account and data deletion

You can initiate account deletion inside VoMini by opening Settings, selecting Delete Account, and confirming. If you cannot access the app, email us from the address associated with your account.

Deleting a VoMini account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription separately in Google Play to prevent future renewal. See the full account deletion instructions for details.

11. Security

We use measures appropriate to the nature of the data, including encrypted network connections, access controls, managed authentication, and limited administrative access. No system can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your device and account, and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

12. Children's privacy

VoMini is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to the processing described in this policy. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child without the consent required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided data improperly, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, integrations, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here, update the date above, and provide additional notice in the app when a change is material and notice is required.
